The Date Project

As a Christmas gift for my ex and I, it was my bright idea to make this awesome gift. I called it the "Year of Dates Project"! It is a packet of 12 envelopes (one for each month...for those of you who can't use a calendar) with 2 pre-made dates a month. Everything is already to go! Some of the dates use gift cards, others use cash, others are stay at home dates with gifts! It was suppose to help us make time for each other with the craziness of college, kids, work, and life in general. So when we broke up in January I was left with this box of gifts and envelopes and no dates. I recently decided to ask my friends and family out on the dates so they do not go to waste and I get some time away from the craziness of life to try and figure myself out.
The date project has a few rules and guidelines to follow...
First- We must complete each packet in the assigned month...without excuses (starting now... I have some dates to catch up on ASAP!)
Second- Follow what the envelope outlines for our date.
Third- No going on dates angry or fighting while on dates.
There are two different types of dates. There is one of each type per month.
Date #1- This date has little cost which should be covered within the date packet.
- Try not to spend more then what we are given. If we have to exceptions would be tips, gas, or parking.
- This date is for us to learn and grow (evening if you don't see it). Pick a question (from the list in the packet) and learn something new about each other on our date!
Date #2- This date will have NO cost.
- This date may require items from around the house.
- Many of these dates have gifts with them. Open the gift that corresponds to the month and date #2 on the morning of the date!
Now I may have to alter a few of the dates as they come up because I wrote them for a couple...(I know strip poker is in there somewhere & I'm definitely not playing that with any of my friends or family) so I will have to change a few to fit the friend and family appropriate setting.
I hope everyone enjoys my journey. I'm not sure where this is going to take me or what I'm going to learn but I can't wait to find out!
